Frequently Asked Questions
Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about our artisanal harvests, shipping, and the community we support.
Can I buy your tea physically in Berlin?
Yes! You can find us every Saturday at the Boxhagener Platz Market in Friedrichshain from 10:00 to 15:30. It's the perfect opportunity to smell, taste and pick up your favorite harvest.
Where exactly does this tea come from?
Our teas are sourced directly from independent farmers and small family gardens in the hills of Darjeeling, India—the place I call home. By working directly with my community, we bypass traditional auctions to bring you rare, unblended harvests that reflect the true soul of the Himalayas.
What makes "Micro-Batch" tea special?
Unlike commercial teas blended for consistency, our harvests are "Micro-Batches" (often as small as 12kg total). These are artisanal, hand-rolled leaves that preserve the unique flavor of a single season. Once a harvest is sold out, it is gone forever, making every cup a limited-edition experience.
What are the shipping costs?
Germany: Shipping is 4.59 €. Free shipping on orders over 39.00 €.
EU Zone 1 (Austria, France, etc.): Shipping is 9.70 €. Free shipping on orders over 100.00 €.
International: Shipping ranges from 10.30 € to 12.00 € depending on the country.
How long does delivery take?
For orders within Germany, delivery typically takes 3 to 5 business days. For international shipments within the EU, please allow 5 to 10 business days for your harvest to arrive.
Can I return my order?
Yes, you can return goods within 14 days. However, due to hygiene and food safety standards, opened tea packages cannot be returned. Please contact us at thedarjeelingcup@gmail.com to begin the process.
How should I store and brew my tea?
To preserve the delicate aromas, store tea in an airtight container away from light and moisture. For the best experience, we recommend using 90-95°C water. Note that our high-mountain teas can be steeped multiple times, revealing new flavor notes with each infusion.
